Key Information

We are a Community School with a maximum of 140 children on roll from the age of four to the age of eleven. The school has five mixed-age, mixed ability classes. The children move through the school according to age, with most classes having two consecutive year groups. The exact composition of the classes varies from year to year, depending on the number of children in each year group.

Our staff are experienced with this arrangement and are convinced of the educational and social advantages provided by a smaller community.

Understanding Progress in Maths

Following several recent conversations with parents and carers about how they can help to support their children’s learning, I’ve looked into the matter and have come across this guide. They provide a clear idea of what children will cover as they progress through the school. There are also some really useful pages on the sort of activities you can do at home.
